Course Terms and Conditions

CLASS TIMES:

Class times vary and are specific to location and class.

We look forward to working with you to help develop your motorcycle riding skills. There are important requirements and helpful hints to help you have a successful, stress-free and most of all fun weekend!

REQUIREMENTS:

Please have your eCourse completed before class. The eCourse is approximately 4-5 hours long. You must bring your certificate of completion with you to class or be able to show it on your phone. The eCourse certificate is good for 60 days from completion.

Please make plans so you arrive to class 15 minutes before your class time. We cannot delay the start of class for the other students if you are late. Unfortunately, because there is not enough time to delay class, if you are late you will be asked to go home and reschedule on Monday. You will be required to pay the full tuition when you re-schedule.

If a participant is under the age of 18, parental or guardian permission must be obtained in writing before the start of class.

You must arrive equipped with riding gear in order to participate in the class. Please be sure to bring the required clothing and gear BOTH DAYS as listed below:

  • Long pants or jeans, long sleeve shirt or jacket, over the ankle boots

  • Full Fingered Gloves (fingerless gloves are not allowed)

  • Helmet (must be D.O.T and equipped with a shield or bring safety glasses or shatterproof eyeglasses/sunglasses). We do not provide helmets you must bring your own.

  • Plenty of fluids to drink and snacks

  • Pencil or ink pen

  • Optionally – Rain wear for rainy weather. Prepare to dress in layers for temperature changes.

  • Chair to sit on during breaks

IMPORTANT!

IF YOU COME TO CLASS WITHOUT THE REQUIRED CLOTHING and GEAR YOU WILL BE SENT HOME. In addition, you will have to pay again for class if you choose to reschedule.

No refunds issued if a student leaves class early for whatever reason though we do have a discounted rate for students to reschedule and attend another class.

HELPFUL HINTS

Since your training course can be physically demanding, we suggest you do not plan late evening events and get ample rest on days of your class.  If you have a small cooler, bring snacks and/or soft drinks and water to class for when we are out on the range. Be sure your footwear is comfortable and has adequate traction. Be alert to each day’s weather conditions and dress accordingly for your comfort. If you should need to cancel or reschedule your class for any reason, please call 10 business days (during business hours and by phone call) prior to original class date to get a full refund. If a last minute cancellation comes about, refunds are not available. However, if you contact us 3 days before your class starts, you may reschedule.

If the weekend calls for rain, don’t worry! Instead of singing in the rain, we’ll be riding in the rain! (Smile) Last year we did not have one class rained out. Usually, the rain comes and goes. The only way we will cancel class is if the rain or storms pose a safety hazard for our students. There are classroom units we can complete during heavy rain, so while the schedule of class may change we usually do not have to cancel. You may want to bring a rain suit if you have one.

If you have more questions, please call our office at (931) 823-7744. We look forward to seeing you in class.

Sincerely,
Mid Tenn Motorcycle Education Center
